We're now working on the new guild rules, which is - as far as I know - the last thing needed before the site is officially opened. Rather than 'new rules' it's the current rules with a new wording and more thorough explanation. Why this? As many of you know, our guildies with high level toons are getting more or less daily tons of PMs requesting for powerlevelling, especially from new players, there has also been a lot of unnecessary swearing and bad language in the guild chat lately as well as other things that make it difficult to enjoy the game. We want our daily game experience to be cleaned of such things, make Shaiya and our guild community to be comfortable place again and show that the word 'honorable' isn't in our guild's name without a reason.

When the site is up we'll ask ALL guild members to register on the new site - it's very important also for the new points system on which especially Kohrty has been working real hard in past weeks. What this is will be explained later on the new site; but the general point is to reward those who make continuous efforts to help our guild community. Registering will also be a condition for new members to being admitted to the guild; joining the guild only 'in-game', just by visiting Guild Master NPC and a few clicks with a mouse, won't be possible anymore.

Although I can't give any ETA at the moment, my guess is that the site could be ready within a week. And I hope you'll all like it :-)

Good to hear brother. May i suggest requiring new recruits to first register at the website to prove they acknowledge the guilds rules before accepting them into the guild. Offering exceptions of course to current members making new toons.

If there is a new program where a hoster can appear on line and invite the online user(s) at once as like Yahoo,Hot-mail,Skype messenger(s) for the guildies only with a voice feature and other stuff so we can have a better communication planning on creating unions and stuff like that, discussing problems if we have like a hand.. and I hope we won't have any on the future though. But glad to know that new technical performances are coming up soon and that's awesome!! Laughing
Now to the side effect. As Ead said,Desperately to say there was an incompatible language were used on the guild-chat over and over again last week,
So as regards that Chris,It could be like the TOS where many people avoid reading/concentrating to accept it directly for skip. Therefore it should be recommended to confirm new members there are guild-rules exist where everyone should obey it or someone should be responsible to announce on the guild-chat every week or daily if there is a possibility on a standard time where most of us appear to be online on the same time to declare in a nutshell the guild-rules to remind everyone with including those new members to avoid such a thing. Wink

This is exactly how it shall work. When all is ready, we're going to change our guild message so that it includes something like 'apply on our website ...' There should be a special forum section used only for applying, where we'll ask the applying member to answer 4-5 questions to learn why he or she chose our guild and so on. At last, he/she'll be asked to confirm he/she has read, understood the guild rules and is prepared to follow them. After he is accepted he will be requested to register on the new site as everyone else.

Currently, we don't accept new members automatically anymore - we always try to PM people on the waiting list to ask them a few questions and then eventually tell them to see guild info and rules on thkg.webs.com. The problem is they are often not on at the moment (or playing another toon possibly) when an officer checking waiting list tries to PM them (and there is no way to see on the waiting list whether they are on or not, all you see is only name, class and level), so we have to PM them repeatedly and the waiting list keeps filling up. New applying system should make things easier.

Also, a secondary point is to cause a little 'discomfort' to the new appliers: if they are prepared to make an effort to spend a few minutes for registering on the site and answer a few questions (instead of spending a few seconds at the Guild Master NPC), it's a good sign they really want to join Honorable-Knights in specific, not just more or less any top ten guild to enjoy it's benefits like guild house.

Ah, very nice. Sounds impressive. Can't wait to see it implemented.
